I’m Harri, the founder of My Neighbor’s Tallow and a mother who wanted the best for her daughter’s delicate skin. After moving to the Hudson Valley from the fast-paced world of Wall Street, I was inspired by the rich farming heritage around me. When my daughter Wilhelmina developed eczema, I searched for a natural, effective solution and found my answer in tallow—an age-old skincare staple that’s been used for generations.

Our skincare products are made by hand in small batches, using grass-fed and finished tallow sourced from local regenerative farms in the Hudson Valley of New York—farms like Kinderhook Farm , Woven Stars & Grimaldi's whose commitment to the land aligns with our mission.
We use dry rendering, a traditional process that keeps the fatty acids intact, preserving tallow's full skin-nourishing potential. Every jar of balm is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as omega fatty acids, providing deep hydration and healing without any unnecessary additives.

Tallow is rich in several fatty acids that can support the skin’s lipid barrier, keeping the skin moisturized and reducing dryness. These fats include stearic acid, oleic acid, and palmitic acid, which may also support the skin’s ability to heal and act as an emollient, covering the skin with a protective film to trap in moisture. It is also thought to be compatible with human skin because its fatty acid profile is similar to sebum, the natural oils produced by our skin. The omega-3s and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in beef tallow provide anti-inflammatory properties, which may improve symptoms related to eczema, psoriasis, or rashes.
