Will tallow clog pores?
No! Tallow closely mimics our skin’s natural oils, Tallow has a ranking of -2 which low on the comedogenic scale, meaning it's unlikely to clog pores. Its richness in CLA provides antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Whipping introduces air and potential bacteria, causing the product to lose volume once melted. We hand-pour our balms to retain their integrity and longevity.

Shelf life of tallow balm products?
Stored correctly, tallow is shelf-stable for 12 months however we know you will use it quickly. We use jojoba oil, which is less likely to go rancid compared to olive oil.

Absolutely! Our grass-fed, finished tallow is packed with essential vitamins and mimics human skin, making it ideal for sensitive skin, babies, and adults alike.

Where does your tallow come from?
Due to our growth, we now source tallow from multiple farms in the Hudson Valley: Kinderhook Farm (Valatie, NY), Grimaldi's Farm (Ghent, NY), and Woven Stars Farm (Ghent, NY). All these farms practice ethical, regenerative farming, and some are certified organic. The cattle are grass-fed, finished, and pasture-raised, ensuring the highest quality tallow for our products.

We process orders within 48 hours and ship Monday through Friday.

Since each batch is handcrafted and sourced from different animals, slight variations in texture (from balm-like to creamy) occur, but all ingredients remain top-quality.
