A clean, nutrient-rich moisturizer, A makeup primer for a smooth, hydrated finish, A gentle eye makeup remover, Relief for baby eczema and dry patches, Diaper rash prevention and treatment, Cradle cap care, Healing chapped cheeks and lips, Soothing sensitive or reactive skin (all ages), Nipple balm for breastfeeding moms, Daily moisture for delicate or compromised skin.
How do I use the Tallow Balm?
Start with a pea-sized amount and gently massage into clean skin—face or body. A little goes a long way.
How should I store my balm?
Store your balm in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight—your medicine cabinet is perfect.
How long will my 2oz or 4oz jar last?
2oz: ~2.5 months with daily facial use
4oz: ~4.5 months with daily facial use
If used more broadly (body or whole family), it may go faster.
Why do you dry-render your tallow?
We use a traditional dry-rendering method to preserve nutrient density. It avoids water and dilution, keeping fatty acids intact for maximum benefit.
Will tallow clog my pores?
No. Tallow has a low comedogenic rating (0–2) and closely mimics the structure of human sebum. It’s also rich in CLA, which helps fight inflammation and bacteria.
Why don’t you whip your balms?
Whipping introduces air and bacteria, which can reduce shelf life and make the balm deflate or melt. We hand-pour every balm to maintain purity and consistency. We also want to give you the actual amount the jar states. Many whipped balms and creams are half the amount just a lot of air to bulk it up.
What’s the shelf life of your balms?
Up to 12 months if stored properly. We use jojoba oil, which resists oxidation and extends freshness naturally. Our Sunflower derived Vitamin E oil also acts as a natural preservative.
Why do you use jojoba oil?
Jojoba oil closely resembles human sebum. It’s organic, non-comedogenic, high in vitamin E, and ideal for all skin types—even sensitive or acne-prone. Many other brands use olive oil which is not similar to our skin and can do rancid without preservatives.
Is tallow safe for babies and facial use?
Yes. It’s incredibly gentle and rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. Perfect for babies, nursing moms, and sensitive or compromised skin.
Can tallow help with eczema, rosacea or psoriasis?
Many customers have found relief. Tallow contains palmitoleic and stearic acids that help calm irritation, regenerate skin, and restore barrier function.
Where do you source your tallow?
From regenerative farms in the Hudson Valley. All cattle are grass-fed, grass-finished, pasture-raised, and ethically treated. Some farms are certified organic.
How quickly will I receive my order?
Orders ship within 48 hours, Monday–Friday. You’ll get tracking info as soon as your package is on the way.
Why does my balm’s texture vary?
Because we render in small batches from different animals, texture can vary slightly due. Also due to temperature changes our balms can be creamy to more balm-like. The ingredients and benefits remain the same.
Are your products organic?
Although we prioritize certified organic and non-GMO ingredients. Our farms are all regenerative grass fed and finished for Tallow, though not all are certified organic as this is pricey for farms to obtain certifications in. all our other ingredients are always organic and non GMO.
Is it vegan?
Our tallow balms are not vegan, but we offer vegan products. Many vegans and Vegetarians order our tallows as they love the fact that nothing is going to waste.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of skincare, all sales are final unless your product arrives damaged. If there’s an issue, email us—we’ll make it right.
Do you test on animals?
Never. We test on ourselves, our friends, and our families—never animals.
